On the evening of March 4, no one could miss the long strides of the Dialed In colt as he shot around the Gulfstream Park turn and made a parity-filled 3-year-old male division that much more murky. Saratoga Special (G2)
Gunnevera responded on first time ask on graded stakes competition at the highest stage as is Saratoga. The son of Dialed In closed with powerful strides to win this event on a final time of 1:17.00 for six and half furlongs under Javier Castellano.
Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes (G3)
After his fifth place in the Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1) a Keeneland on October 8th, 2016. Gunnevera romps in great fashion in the Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes (G3) at Delta Downs, ton of the most important race for two-year old horse in the racing calendar with $1 million in purses. Trained by Antonio Sano, Gunnevera crossed the wise with 5 and ¾ lengths over his closer rival.
Born in Madrid, Spain in 1963. Enrique Torres won over five hundred races as a trainer in Valencia, Venezuela, including 25 stakes races and a championship as a conditioner. In 2014, Torres rejoined with his longtime friend schoolmate as a trainer assistant and he’s on charge of Sano’s Stables of Gulfstream Park headquarters. With over 30 years of experience as a horse racing trainer, Torres is one of the main pillars of our team.
A Venezuelan native, Jorge Cardenas grew up watching horse racing at his country. But, as a teenager didn’t felt the necessity of become part of this industry and came to US to study Commercial Administration in Miami Dade Community College. Years later, Cardenas decided to follow his passion for the horses a came back to Venezuela and started working at La Rinconada Racetrack. Jorge Cardenas have been working at Sano’s Racing Stable Since 2014, and team wouldn’t be the same without his support and hard work.
Jesús Prada (El Chino)
AKA “El Chino” along with Enrique Torres and Antonio were part of the 1988 trainer’s graduation back in Venezuela. Prada joined Sano’s Racing Stable in 2010, since then he became in the right hand of trainer Sano. Prior to this, “El Chino” had good success in Valencia National Racetrack in Venezuela with 246 victories before he moved to United States in 2001. Team Sano couldn’t happier to have Mr. Prada as one of the Trainers Assistants triology.
